Verbier is well connected to the transport network. Geneva airport takes a reliable 100 mins and there are frequent rail connections from airport to resort. Sion airport (40mins) also connects with certain European cities.
As Verbier has grown so there has been an impressive lift investment programme to eliminate tedious queues. The resort has lots of amenities and a good deal of Swiss alpine charm, with slate roofed chalets rather than concrete blocks.
As a leading European ski resort and ranked in the top 10 in the world you have 4 valleys and 400km of ski runs to choose as well as snowpark, brilliant off piste, and good cross country trails. The village sits on a plateau at 1500-1600m allowing for good snow cover opportunity down to the village and the ski area rises to a reassuring 3300m.
The sports centre is well equipped with 25m pool, gym, sauna, steam, squash, ice rink, outdoor tennis. There are also two exciting 10km toboggan runs and beautiful walks all year round.
